The Meaning Behind “UZAK”
UZAK Behavioral Health Services provides compassionate, personalized psychiatric care for individuals across all stages of life. The practice was founded by Dr. Anuli Honore, a DNP-prepared Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over five years of experience in behavioral health. The focus is simply to help people feel supported, understood, and emotionally stable through respectful, patient-centered care. This practice is personal. The name “UZAK” comes from the founder’s late parents, Uzoma and Akobundu. It reflects the values they lived by: kindness, strength, integrity, and care for others. That same spirit guides every patient interaction today.
The name UZAK holds deep personal meaning. It is derived from the names of my late parents, Uzoma and Akobundu, whose values of compassion, integrity, resilience, and service continue to inspire this practice every day. Their legacy lives on through a commitment to helping others heal, grow, and find strength through compassionate mental healthcare.
